The Fellowship

plymouth church fellowship 2008

Since 1907 there has been a strong organization for women at Plymouth. Names have been changed from Women's Club until 1937 to Women's League until 1962, to Women's Fellowship until 1998. Several men who were interested were invited to attend and the name was subsequently changed to The Fellowship to include them.

The Fellowship now meets regularly on the second Thursday of each month with a small group of faithful members. Beyond the meetings these dedicated people are always there to serve when needed, be it to prepare the Sunday Coffee Hour, receptions for memorial services and other events, or to maintain the order of the church kitchen. They help make Plymouth a warm and welcoming place.

Circles

Plymouth church is growing. As we grow, we want to make sure to retain the intimacy and warmth we experience now. We also want to insure that no one "falls through the cracks" in their time of need. To help with this we divided ourselves into Circles or Groups. The kick off dinner was April 11 when we shared a meal together. At that time we divided ourselves into three circles. A daytime circle, named "Fellowship Group Ease". an adult circle that meets at night called, "Toasters" and a family circle, called, Peace to all Snow Leopards on MT. Kilimanjaro". Since that time the circles have met and shared a time of fellowship which was a big success and a lot of fun.

We are now in the third stage of our Circles; Working Together in Service. Each group has decided on a service project, either for the community or for the church. "Fellowship Group Ease" and "Toasters" are working in collecting food for the Alameda County Food Bank. The circle, Peace to all Snow Leopards on Mr. Kilimanjaro is making communion bread for Plymouth.

Our Circles are open to all. Come to Plymouth and choose a group that fits your needs.
